Teacher of Boys' PE job summary
The Athelstan Trust is a successful and growing Multi-Academy Trust consisting of five secondary schools and two primary schools in Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, and South Gloucestershire. We currently employ over 600 people and educate 4,100 pupils and plan to expand further over the coming years. At Malmesbury School our vision is to be a Happy, Caring and Excellent community. Malmesbury School requires a dynamic, enthusiastic and well-qualified teacher of Boys' PE. The school occupies a modern building with excellent facilities including a gymnasium, hall and dance studio as well as five tennis/netball courts and extensive playing fields. Applications from ECTs are welcome. The school has strong relationships with local partners and has regular use of the sports hall at ‘The Activity Zone’ (Malmesbury sports centre), as well as access to the swimming pool. At Key Stage 4 a vocational course for Sports Science and AQA GCSE PE are offered and large numbers of students sign up for these courses. A Level PE is also offered and the faculty follows the OCR exam board. The outstanding extra-curricular programme offered to students is a particular strength with high levels of participation.
