What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a positive and skilled Teacher of Business and Enterprise to deliver the highest level of teaching & learning for our aspirational students. Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to motivate students through inspirational, personalised teaching is essential.
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented teacher to join a thriving school:
- to work with students who are committed to their learning and passionate about their own further professional development;
- to further enhance an already high functioning department of skilled teachers;
- to work to raise the outcomes for all pupils by inspiring and motivating students and staff alike.
There is also an additional opportunity for colleagues with Pastoral experience to be considered for a current Pastoral vacancy. If you are interested in this additional opportunity, please indicate this within your application form and covering letter which can then be discussed further in interview. This should not deter colleagues from applying who do not wish to be considered for a Pastoral role.
Applications are welcomed from ECTs and experienced practitioners. Outstanding support is provided for ECTs through our very supportive and structured ECT programme.
GCSE Business and BTEC Enterprise are offered as options in the KS4 curriculum and there is a huge uptake for both of these option choices. Outstanding engagement and progress is reflected in the significant number of pupils opting to take Business at A level. The successful applicant should therefore be able to teach GCSE Business and/or BTEC Enterprise across Key Stage 4 and the ability to teach A Level Business is desirable.

Arden is a truly exceptional school at the heart of the community and the peak of academic excellence. Situated just minutes off Junction 5 of the M42 and only 3 miles from the town of Solihull, visitors are astounded by our confident and articulate students. Our recent Ofsted report spoke about the culture of ‘exceptionally high aspirations that permeate the school’ and ‘the positive relationships between staff and pupils’ where ‘teachers teach individuals, not classes’. As an innovative school always striving for better there is a constant drive to achieve maximum personal and academic potential and as part of a Multi Academy Trust there is the opportunity for exceptional training and the sharing of knowledge and ideas.
