Teacher of Business/Economics - Part time (0.6, 3 days a week) job summary

Business and Economics are popular subjects at our Academy, and we are looking for an enthusiastic teacher to help us meet that demand. We currently offer A Level Business, Economics and the Business BTEC single award and are looking to expand our provision further. Our Business, Economics and Computing team is experienced, dynamic and forward-thinking and works collaboratively to deliver meaningful and engaging content.

This is brought to life through a wide range of activities including:

  • Museum Learning Team – provide ideas and resources to support lesson delivery. For example, the team have provided objects to support the delivery of Economics lessons on poverty and Business lessons on production processes.
  • Off-site trips – this year, KS4 students had the opportunity to participate in an enterprise skills workshop run by Levi Roots, the famous entrepreneur.
  • Super Curricular Clubs – students in our Sixth Form have participated in the annual Young Enterprise competition, coming a close second in the regional finals with their innovative bag design.
