What skills and experience we're looking for

  • A good relevant degree
  • PGCE with QTS/ QTLS and membership with DfE or IfL or willingness to work towards
  • A passion for teaching the subject

What the school offers its staff

Rochdale Sixth Form College (RSFC) opened in 2010 to address the significant underachievement in A Level performance in the borough. Since then it has raised achievement in the area dramatically and is recognised nationally as a centre of excellence. Due to expansion and increase in student numbers we are looking for two permanent Teachers of Business Studies and one Maternity Cover. As a successful candidate, you will have the exciting opportunity to teach across three level 3 qualifications in business to a diverse and vibrant student body. Out A level cohort consists of approximately 300 students across year 12 and 13, in addition to 108 students completing level 3 BTEC qualifications.

The Altus Education Partnership was formed in April 2017. It is a multi-academy trust formed by the governing body of Rochdale Sixth Form College and dedicated to the improvement of education in the borough of Rochdale. The Trust’s mission arose from and built upon the successes and values of the sixth form college. In short, our mission is to create a family of academies from early years to 18 that enables students in the borough to progress to an aspirational career, a fulfilling life and to make a positive contribution to society.
