JOB TITLE: Teacher of Business Studies

BASED AT: Samuel Whitbread Academy

Samuel Whitbread Academy would like to appoint a highly committed and enthusiastic Teacher of Business Studies to join our team in September 2022. If you are passionate about Business Studies and enjoy teaching across a full age and ability range, including A Level, then this is the position for you. The department is friendly, collaborative and constantly adapting to improve Business Studies education for all.

The successful candidate will work in in an expanding team of creative and hard-working Teachers. The Department achieves very good exam results and we wish this to continue and improve into the future.

The classrooms in the Business Studies Department all have WIFI, whiteboards and projectors with three of these rooms housing full computer suites. The number of students choosing to study Business Studies is growing year upon year especially at Key Stage 5 where we have three classes of A Level Business Studies and two classes of BTEC Business. Our GCSE student numbers are also on the rise. We currently teach over 160 students in the Year 10 cohort as well as 25 BTEC students. The successful candidate will support the Department in providing outstanding and innovative learning experiences for our students.

Applicants must be willing to undertake a DBS clearance and the Academy must receive two satisfactory references before the successful candidate can commence employment.

This role will involve working closely with the students at Samuel Whitbread Academy and you will be engaging in regulated activity with children.
