Curriculum: in line with the whole school thematic curriculum, to work with the subject leader to develop, deliver and evaluate an appropriate, high quality and personalised curriculum programme suited to the abilities and aspirations of all students; keeping up-to-date with national developments.
Teaching and Learning: to support students to make continual progress within a positive learning environment.
Assessment and Recording: to ensure that both formative and summative assessment of student progress is accurate and informs future learning whilst keeping students and parents/carers up to date with current progress and next steps.
Student personal development and well-being: to promote high standards of personal conduct and behaviour so that effective learning can take place through the effective application of school and national policy. Also, to contribute to our extensive extra-curricular programme.
Additionally, to undertake any further duties as outlined by the headteacher provided that they are reasonable and appropriate.
Essential educational requirements
Undergraduate degree of equivalent
Appropriate qualification or experience in teaching subject

A willingness to embrace and develop the vision of The Wren School.
A thorough knowledge and understanding of the KS2, KS3 and KS4 curriculum for the chosen subject.
Able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills.
A record of involvement in school extra-curricular activities, school shows, educational visits, expeditions, residential courses, charity projects, etc.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
Personal impact, presence and integrity.
Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Extensive CPL programme.
