Waingels, a popular 11-18 school where students achieved above national average in all measures and was identified as “continuing to be good” in a recent OFSTED inspection, is seeking to appoint a Teacher of Business Studies with responsibility for Enterprise to further add capacity to the department and meet the growing demand by students for courses at KS4 and in the sixth form. The role includes leading and supporting with our well established, whole school enterprise programme, including forging and further developing links with organisation and businesses, such as our highly successful partnership with Microsoft. Our enriching enterprise programme is a significant part in us being considered as a leading school for personal development (Challenge Partners, 2023). The curriculum is well sequenced, “It builds pupils’ knowledge and develops skills for future learning and employment” and “…identified exactly what teachers need to teach and when to teach it” (OFSTED 2023).
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher, seeking a new challenge or experience of leading on whole school initiative and events. We would consider full or part- time teachers.
The successful candidate will teach Business Studies to 4 classes, with the possibility of A-Level teaching for the right candidate. The ability to teach Economics to KS4 or A-Level would be an advantage but is not essential.
We would also consider a candidate with exceptional teaching to be a Lead Practitioner.
