Are you keen to teach Chemistry at A-Level? Required for September 2019, Sir Joseph Williamson’s Mathematical School has a rare opportunity to appoint a Teacher of Chemistry and Science. This role is initially offered on a maternity cover contract but we have every intention to offer a substantive role thereafter within the wider organisation.

Our successful candidate will;

be an outstanding classroom practitioner or have the potential to become one
have an ability to teach science in Key Stage 3 and Chemistry to Key Stage 5
be committed to enabling all students to achieve their full potential
demonstrate enthusiasm and strong subject knowledge
be able to contribute effectively as a member of a Chemistry and science team.

Science is taught in Years 7, 8 and 9, with GCSE Triple Science or Double Science at Key Stage 4. Approximately 60% of students study Triple Award. This post would suit a newly qualified or experienced teacher alike as we can offer excellent professional development opportunities locally and across the wider Trust, bespoke to you.
