The Computing Department at Birkdale High School is a committed, collaborative and hard working team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic department who have worked hard to develop a knowledge rich, carefully sequenced and challenging curriculum. With interactive whiteboards and visualisers in every classroom, an emphasis on modelling and effective retrieval practice, we ensure that we invest time and energy in strategies that most benefit our boys. Driven by the principles of cognitive science coupled with high expectations, we are proud to consistently achieve excellent results in Computer Science and Creative iMedia and we are looking for an outstanding, passionate teacher to continue to contribute to further improvements in this successful department which has achieved the NCCE Computing Quality Mark.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher of Computing with outstanding potential to join a successful department with committed teachers working as a close team. The successful candidate will be able to teach Computer Science to GCSE level and is required to join the team from 1 September 2023.
