A Recruitment Bonus of £2,500 will be available for an exceptional candidate, paid in the 1st month's salary following appointment. This amount will be repayable to the Trust if you leave your post within 12 months of your appointment.

Outwood Academy Valley is looking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and inspirational teacher to join our Computer Science department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who really wants to make a difference to the lives of young people. Our single goal is ‘Students First’ and you will be joining a strong team of professionals working to this sole aim.
The Computer Science and Business Faculty consists of 5 members of staff; 2 specialist Business teachers, 2 specialist Computer Science teachers and a member of staff who teaches both subjects. There is a faculty lead and a second in faculty with the primary role of leading the Computer Science department. The trust also has a director of Computer Science to offer support, advice and resources when needed. Computer Science is taught one hour per week at KS3. We currently offer OCR GCSE Computer Science at KS4, and will be offering the WJEC IT course from next year.We share the teaching of Computer Science and IT at A level with Outwood Academy Portland, our sister school, where we currently have a total of 4 groups. In addition, we offer GCSE & A level Business, where we currently have 7 A level groups. In an OFSTED deep dive last year the Computer Science department was rated 'outstanding'.
