What skills and experience we're looking for
Wollaston School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic teacher to help grow and diversify the subject and who is able to teach Computing throughout the school, up to Key Stage 5. ECT’s are welcome to apply, and we offer a fully supported induction programme, including regular subject specific mentoring and whole school professional
development. Training is also offered through the National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE).
At Wollaston school, we believe that a high-quality computing education equips pupils to use computational thinking and creativity to understand and change the world. Computing has deep links with mathematics, science, and design and
technology, and provides insights into both natural and artificial systems .
The successful candidate will be an innovative, reflective practitioner who can demonstrate the willingness to adapt and learn. We are looking for an individual with high expectations and standards who can offer excellent behavioural
management skills. An additional strength would be a creative, engaging approach to curriculum design and planning both within the classroom and also in the wider outdoor learning environment
You would be joining a forward-thinking and creative faculty with a collegiate approach to teaching and learning.
