Teacher of Computing job summary
We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of Computing to work with a small team of committed colleagues who form part of the Creative and Digital Technologies Team. We currently provide the opportunity to teach Computing across all three key stages and offer both GCSE and A level qualifications in Computer Science, Cambridge National Creative iMedia and BTEC IT. This position offers someone with good communication and interpersonal skills a fantastic opportunity to join an ambitious and forward-thinking school. Applicants must be committed to delivering high standards of teaching and learning.
Our Computing department is proud to offer a varied and innovative curriculum that values and invests in the students we teach. We are privileged to have such talented students that show real energy and flair for their lessons. Many of our students have gone on to thrive in the field of Information Technology and Computing. Our strategy is centred around the students we teach and our courses give students a solid grounding in the foundations of Computing and the wider skills and attributes needed to prosper in a digital environment. Our department is fortunate to have a strong team of four enthusiastic and supportive professionals who work to provide high-quality and student-focused lessons

Our school has served the families of Poynton, Disley, Adlington and surrounding areas in Cheshire since 1972 and we lie at the heart of this community’s learning needs. We pride ourselves in our vision as a school which serves our community and look to establish a 0 – 90 Learning Village in partnership with our primary, secondary colleagues. We have approximately 1500 students within Years 7 to 13 and offer a wide range of A-Levels in our Sixth Form.
