Teacher of Computing job summary
At Heyford Park School, our mission is to provide the best possible education for all students in a nurturing and inclusive environment. We are proud to be a warm, welcoming all-through school with a strong sense of community, where staff are collaborative, supportive, and genuinely enjoy working together.
Due to continued growth and increasing student numbers, with the secondary phase expanding towards three form entry, we are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Computing teacher to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within our Maths faculty, where Computing and IT are integral to the curriculum. The successful candidate will benefit from teaching in a brand new purpose-built IT suite as part of our secondary expansion work.
As a small but thriving school, flexibility is essential. The successful candidate will be required to teach a second subject at Key Stage 3 level, and we welcome applicants who can offer a complementary subject. Please indicate your additional subject specialism within your personal statement.
This role is open to both Early Career Teachers and experienced colleagues. ECTs will benefit from our strong induction programme, delivered in partnership with Bartholomew School, while more experienced teachers will find excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression within a growing school.
Heyford Park School was recently judged to be Good by Ofsted, and this role offers the chance to join us at an exciting stage in our development. As part of the Eynsham Partnership Academy Trust (EPA), we work closely with Bartholomew School, an Outstanding school as of 2024, ensuring high-quality support and collaboration across the Trust.
Computing is a developing and increasingly important area of our curriculum, supported within the Maths faculty. The department benefits from a collaborative approach, shared resources, and a commitment to delivering an engaging and relevant curriculum for all students.
Located in the village of Upper Heyford, the school is easily accessible from Bicester, Banbury, and Oxford, serving a growing and diverse rural community.
