The Role
As a Teacher of Computing and IT, you will play a key part in delivering high‑quality teaching across KS3, KS4 and KS5, including Level 2 and 3 BTEC/AAQ pathways. You will contribute to a dynamic and collaborative Digital Technologies faculty, planning and delivering engaging lessons that challenge students, promote curiosity and secure strong progress. The role involves effective use of assessment, data analysis and curriculum planning, as well as working closely with colleagues to support SEND learners and contribute to the wider development of the faculty. You will model excellent classroom practice, uphold high expectations for behaviour and engagement, and actively support the school’s values, safeguarding culture and commitment to continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking ForYou will be an enthusiastic and resilient practitioner with Qualified Teacher Status and a strong subject knowledge in Computing and IT. You bring effective classroom practice, strong organisational skills and the ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities. You are a team player who can also work independently, with the interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and the wider community. You are committed to your own professional development, confident in analysing data to inform teaching, and able to contribute to curriculum design and wider school initiatives. A flexible approach, a commitment to raising standards and the ability to uphold the school’s values will be central to your success in this role.
