The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Teacher of Computing to join our forward thinking Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire young people and develop their digital, technical and creative skills, who will make a substantial contribution to the further development of this "GOOD" school. You will have the qualities to motivate and inspire our students, strong classroom management skills, be a team player and have the ability to achieve the best possible outcomes for our students.

The successful candidate will need to deliver high quality teaching across KS3 and KS4. You will play a key role in shaping an engaging curriculum that reflects current industry practice and prepares students for further study and future careers in technology and media.

A distinctive feature of this role is the opportunity to utilise and develop the use of our dedicated gaming room, equipped to support teaching and enrichment in areas such as game design, programming, digital media, esports and computational thinking. The successful candidate will be encouraged to creatively integrate this space into lessons, clubs and enrichment activities to enhance student engagement and learning.

The ideal candidate will:

Be able to teach Computer Science and/or Creative iMedia to at least GCSE level (this is essential)

Be passionate about digital literacy, creativity and innovation, working as a team player to support the continued development of faculty curriculums

Demonstrate a strong presence in the classroom having the ability to Inspire, motivate and challenge students of all abilities

Have a commitment to inclusive education and high standards of achievement
