Consett Academy is looking for a passionate teacher to join our fantastic social sciences team. We will support you to be brilliant and enjoy your job. Our leadership team put in high presence around the academy to support and develop you and we have a school improvement team specialising in KS5 progression to help you refine your skills and extend your expertise.

We are looking for a Criminology and Psychology teacher to teach pupils aged 16-18 across KS5. Our ideal candidate will be creative in their approach, able to maintain high levels of teaching and excellent classroom practice, with the ability to plan engaging lessons and a high level of understanding of subject specific assessment.

You will also:

  • Be passionate about Criminology & Sociology and keen to improve standards across Year 12 & 13
  • Have high expectations of yourself and students
  • Be dynamic, innovative and inspirational in the classroom
