We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Criminology and Social Sciences to join our secondary school team, with a primary focus on Key Stage 5. The successful candidate will inspire and challenge students, fostering a deep understanding of criminology and social sciences while developing critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills.

If you are able to motivate all students to achieve or exceed their target grades, if you are passionate about Criminology, have an interest in being at the cutting edge and are driven to ensure students receive the best possible experience, then this job is for you.

You will be joining an excellent Social Sciences department that has a relentless focus on raising achievement. This is an exciting opportunity for an ECT or an experienced teacher. (All our ECTs are well supported by an excellent induction programme).

The ideal candidate must have the following:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (ability to teach to Key Stage 3, Key stage 4 and possibly Key Stage 5).
  • Versatility to take on a range of activities
  • The ability to work within a larger team
  • High expectations of all learners
  • Ability to teach out of subject if required (particularly A Level Law, A Level Psychology or A Level Sociology)
  • Ability to oversee the Criminology Scheme of Work and the Unit 1 and Unit 3 controlled assessment.
