What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated teacher of Dance to join our successful (and newly renovated and expanded) Performing Arts faculty. Early Careers Teachers are welcome to apply. We offer a comprehensive induction programme, including regular subject specific mentoring as well as whole school training. The successful candidate will be committed to ensuring excellent outcomes for every student.

Dance is taught as part of the Performing Arts faculty, consisting of Drama, Music and Dance GCSEs. The successful candidate will be required to teach Dance at Key Stages 3 & 4, with some KS5 teaching expected too.

Dance is a popular subject at Wollaston School, and it is taught from Key Stage 3-5, with students following the AQA specification for GCSE and A level at Key Stage 5. The faculty also offers a vibrant enrichment programmed outside of the classroom, including successfully competing in the national competition “Dance Live”.

Wollaston School is a large, rural community school located in a village setting about 15 minutes drive from Northampton. The student intake draws on nearby villages and the towns of Earls Barton, Wellingborough, and Irchester. We have over 1400 students on roll with approximately 240 students in the Sixth Form.
