- Have Secondary PGCE or QTS qualification for secondary phase.
- Have a passion for learning and teaching within Design Technology.
- Have a good degree and the ability to teach to GCSE level.
- Be an excellent teacher of Design Technology.
- Understand the needs of students and how to remove learning barriers.
- Have a proven track record of student achievement.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Design and Technology specialist to work within a thriving and highly successful D&T learning area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching primarily KS3 and KS4 students. We are looking for a teacher who is both knowledgeable and passionate about their subject. This person will become fully involved in the ethos of the department and contribute to the continued development and raising achievement of our pupils.
We have very strong core principles which provide students with a sequential and progressive curriculum. This enables them to build key skills.
As students work through each year and Key Stage we encourage them to be creative and ambitious. The successful candidate will share this philosophy.
An interest in extra-curricular activities is essential. Knowledge of ICT and CAD applications would be advantageous.
