Outwood Academy Foxhills (formerly Invenio Academy) opened on 1st September 2014, sponsored by Outwood Grange Academies Trust. Outwood Grange Academy founded the Trust to lead the improvement of other schools in the North East of England. Prior to its conversion, the former Invenio Academy had been placed in Special Measures following an Ofsted Inspection In January 2014. Following a successful Ofsted Inspection in January 2016, Outwood Academy Foxhills was awarded National Support School status, This was in recognition of the remarkable journey made by the school with the support of its students, staff, parents/carers and governors. In 2018 the Academy celebrated results with students gaining 45.6% 5+ and 62% 4+ in English & Maths. We are committed to providing high standards of education for students. Our innovative curriculum centred on a 2 year Key Stage 3 and a 3 year Key Stage 4 personalises the learning of all students.
