What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Design and Technology teacher to inspire and educate our students in the fascinating world of design, engineering, and technology. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, fostering a love for creativity and innovation in our students. We have a thriving sixth form and would like to increase the uptake of students opting for Product Design A level.

We are looking for a classroom practitioner who is inspirational, dedicated and forward-thinking; determined to raise standards across all subject disciplines; creative, enthusiastic and committed to active learning; and an excellent team player.

We are looking for an ambitious leader-to-be who is keen to take on a leadership role within the department as the department and student uptake grow; and across the whole college promoting the STEM agenda, particularly in relation to CEIAG and increasing the uptake of STEM subjects by female students.

As a teacher you will:

- demonstrate excellent planning and organisational skills

- enthuse and motivate all students

- demonstrate incredibly high expectations

- believe that all students are capable of success.

- Be experienced in delivering the Design & Technology GCSE course

- have experience of delivering Product Design A level (or have a wish to teach the subject at A Level).

If you think you can make a difference to our students and relish the idea of joining our successful, supportive and highly motivated team in the delivery of an excellent education, then we want to hear from you!
