What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of design technology as part of our school technology teaching team.

The teacher of design technology will be accountable for: Planning and teaching lessons to the classes they are assigned to teach within the context of the school’s plans, curriculum and schemes of work. The successful candidate would teach design technology to key stage 3, 4 and potentially to key stage 5 and be expected to engage in extra-curricular activity as required.

Our successful candidate will have the following experience, skillset and qualifications:

  • Commitment to improving student learning and raising achievement
  • Enthusiasm to inspire in students a desire to learn and participate
  • Honours Degree
  • DfE recognised Qualified Teacher Status

The post is full-time and permanent, to begin in either Easter or September 2026 and is suitable for both experienced and Early Career teachers. This role reports to the head of design technology.
