The Role

We are looking to appoint an outstanding and inspirational Teacher of Drama.

The position will suit an experienced or early career teacher.

We are a community where everyone feels they belong and are the best they can be. We were inspected by Ofsted in September 2023 and judged “good” in all areas.

The Drama department is part of our “creative” faculty which runs through into our Sigma Sixth provision with us offering qualifications at GCSE and at A level.

Our annual productions are always highly praised and students have the opportunity to develop their creative talents through other extra curricular provision.

This is an exciting time to join our team as our Creative Academy launches in Sigma Sixth for September 2025

There is also the opportunity for a TLR 2B as Subject Coordinator from September 2025, for the right candidate.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Be accountable for student progress and development within your classes.
  • Be innovative in your own teaching and to develop and enhance the teaching practice of others.
  • Plan collaboratively with colleagues in order to promote effective practice and provide a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum.
  • Be a form tutor to promote a sense of belonging amongst our students.
