Teacher of Drama job summary

We wish to appoint a creative and ambitious Teacher of Drama to teach across KS3 to KS4 from September 2021. The confidence to teach English at KS3 will be an advantage.

This post is offered on a fixed term contract to cover the substantive post holder’s maternity leave.

The successful candidate will have the ability to teach across all age and ability ranges. You will be an effective classroom teacher with the ability to raise the achievement of all students and be keen to play a full part in the life of the school.

Drama is a very popular subject in our school and we offer our students a diverse and advanced curriculum with elements of A level and we focus on teaching the whole child through SMSC. The Drama Department has good technical facilities. We offer a rich extra-curricular programme and are involved with the National Theatre, Old Vic and RSC. The successful candidate will benefit from excellent CPD opportunities offered by the theatres.

Applications from NQTs are welcome as the school has a strong NQT training and support programme.

You will have the opportunity to work with a forward thinking school leadership team, and have access to a rich and varied CPD programme within the school and across the Federation. We offer a comprehensive and supportive induction programme for all new members of staff.
