An exciting opportunity has arisen for the part-time position of Teacher of Drama with English.
We welcome candidates from all religious and non-religious backgrounds and the successful candidate will be joining a fully resourced department with the opportunity to teach Drama across KS3 and KS4 alongside English.
Cardinal Newman is a highly successful 11-18 Catholic comprehensive school set in 37-acre grounds in the pleasant outskirts of Coventry. We are located within easy access of all areas of Coventry and commutable from surrounding areas such as Birmingham, Solihull, Leamington Spa and Sutton Coldfield. In our most recent Ofsted visit, staff morale was identified as being high and we are fully committed to the positive wellbeing of our staff. The report April 2024 noted: " Pupils and students are a pleasure to speak to. They are proud of their school and value the opportunities they are given. Pupils feel safe and cared for at this school. The positive relationships between staff and pupils are a key factor in the school’s success."
We are looking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Drama with English. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning and share a passion for the subject.
The ideal candidate will:
Have the capacity to teach Drama at KS3-KS4 across all ability ranges.
Have the capacity to teach KS3 English across all ability ranges.
Have excellent subject knowledge and be able to deliver an engaging curriculum.
Demonstrate enthusiasm, energy and passion for their subject.
Have fantastic classroom management and organisation.
Willing to work as part of a very successful, supportive and friendly team.
Promote the Catholic ethos of the school.
