Teacher of English job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join our accomplished teaching staff. The successful candidate will have a passion for English literature and language, and a genuine desire to inspire and engage students of all abilities. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality lessons, fostering critical thinking, and developing a love for learning among our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
- Assess, record, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
- Contribute to the development of an ambitious and inclusive English curriculum.
- Support and inspire students to achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create an enriching learning environment.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in English or a related field.
- Experience teaching English at secondary school level (desirable).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
