Teacher of English job summary
We are looking for an individual with a passion for English and a strong commitment to making a difference to the lives of our pupils. We require an inspirational classroom practitioner who will ensure that our pupils make outstanding progress across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. We want people who strive for excellence, are keen to keep up-to-date with best practice, and have a drive for continuous improvement to join our ambitious and supportive team.
This could also be an exciting opportunity for an ambitious PE teacher, looking to improve their employability and skillset by gaining valuable experience in teaching English at our school from September 2022. For non-specialist applicants, a subject enhancement CPD package would be in place to support the change in specialism.
We are looking for a great practitioner and in return, we will offer comprehensive training, plus the support of our talented and experienced English Department and Senior Leadership Team. If you are looking for an opportunity to broaden your skill-set, our Trust has a proven track record of developing its staff through professional development opportunities both externally and internally.
Commitment to safeguarding
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults, children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The information requested for applicants is considered to be objectively justified to comply with government guidance on safer recruitment in such areas. Appointment to this post will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring check.
