Batley Multi Academy Trust currently comprises Batley Girls’ High School; Batley Grammar School; Field Lane Junior, Infant and Nursery School; Healey Junior, Infant and Nursery School; Hyrstmount Junior School; Manorfield Infant and Nursery School; Purlwell Infant and Nursery School and Upper Batley High School. Collaboration across our Trust family of schools enables us to share expertise, knowledge and best practice to ensure academic and pastoral excellence, with all schools embracing the same overall ethos and values, whilst maintaining their own unique characters.

At Batley Grammar School we aim to blend our traditional ethos and culture with modern approaches to teaching and learning. We are looking for an innovative and enthusiastic Teacher of English to join our successful, dedicated, and high-achieving English Department. The ideal candidate will be a learner-centred and collaborative practitioner with a strong knowledge of both English Language and English Literature, and the ability to inspire learners across the full ability range.

This post would suit an ambitious, energetic, and rigorous teacher who is eager to bring creativity and excellence to our department, helping to build on its strong record of achievement. A commitment to working closely with colleagues within the Communications Faculty to continually enhance the learning experience is essential. Flexibility to contribute to teaching outside the English curriculum, where required, is also important.

We would particularly welcome a colleague who is keen to contribute to and develop our extra-curricular provision, enriching the wider life of the school.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive forward thinking Trust, who in return for your commitment and hard work, will support you to achieve your own career goals and aspirations.
