Teacher of English job summary
The Faculty is successful at both GCSE and A-level, with large cohorts for A-level English Literature and Language. At GCSE and A-Level, results are consistently above the national average. We hold the Subject Leadership Award from the Prince’s Teaching Institute which recognises our cohesive curriculum, the range of extra-curricular activities offered within the Faculty and our teachers’ ongoing engagement with CPD of all kinds. The Faculty also includes the Media Studies Department which is a popular choice at GCSE and A level.
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic teacher of English. The ability to teach Media would be an advantage. The post is an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to teach and work within a team of highly motivated and inspiring staff. The vacancy is suitable for either an ECT or someone looking to broaden their teaching experience.
