What skills and experience we're looking for

The post provides an excellent opportunity for an ECT or experienced teacher and could be combined with leadership opportunities depending on the experience and interests of the applicant.

We require an enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher of English to join a successful and dynamic Faculty. As a school, we are innovative in realising the potential of all our students and we offer an excellent, supportive environment in which to work. There is an extensive CPD programme for all staff and the English Faculty is highly collaborative, which leads to the production of excellent resources for students. Students enjoy their studies of English, and the subject contributes to a Good, vibrant school with above average outcomes for students.

There is a strong culture of creativity with all students using their own iPad to learn in an engaging way. Our English curriculum is relevant and exciting; students study a diverse range of voices in poetry, plays and novels, but also explore other texts such as graphic novels and animated films.
