For the right candidate, there is an opportunity for a TLR for either Head of Year or Head of Media

Contract: Permanent; however, we are also open to flexible working requests

We are looking for a high-calibre Teacher of English and Media to join our successful English Department while leading our Media Department. The successful candidate will enthuse students through the provision of high-quality teaching and learning and encourage all students to develop their potential to the full. The successful candidate will be a teacher who is passionate about all aspects of English with a drive to make a difference and maintain our high standards.

Our English department is hugely important to us at St Andrew the Apostle School. In 2025, our GCSE progress was in the top 5% nationally, and attainment was significantly above the national average. Our learners enjoy English lessons, and Media Studies is a popular choice at Key Stage 4 and A Level.

For the right candidate, there is also an additional opportunity to take on the role of Head of Year, with a TLR available. This role would suit someone with strong pastoral skills, excellent communication, and a desire to make a positive impact on whole‑year‑group progress and wellbeing.
