Icknield High School is a highly successful 11-16 mixed Academy with an excellent reputation, situated in pleasant grounds on the northern outskirts of town.

We wish to appoint an innovative, dedicated and highly motivated classroom practitioner who can teach outstanding English up to GCSE level.

We are justifiably proud of our excellent results, achieving an Attainment 8 score of 4.9 in 2025 and believe that we offer both students and staff a caring environment in which they can succeed. Overall, 83% of our students achieved a grade 4 or above, 71% achieved a grade 5 or above and 28% achieved a grade 7 or above.

We are seeking an ambitious person who combines excellent organisational and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students. This is an exciting opportunity to join our highly successful English Department.
