Job OverviewCoombe Girls’ School and Sixth Form is a comprehensive girls’ state secondary school, with a co-educational Sixth Form. The school is heavily oversubscribed and is committed to providing an excellent education to children in the local area. We are proud of the progress our students make from their starting points during their time with us: the school’s GCSE Progress 8 score in 2024 was +0.7, and the progress of our 2025 cohort was in the top 25% of the country. We are looking for a Teacher of English to join the English Department to work to ensure that all students develop their understanding, enjoy the subject and make progress. As a school, we recognise the value of research based professional development and plan our training sessions accordingly to the benefit of our work in classrooms. We are open to both part-time and full-time candidates.
