Teacher of English job summary
Due to a growing number of Year 7 parents and students selecting our school as their first choice for September 2026, we are seeking to appoint an additional Teacher of English. You will join a strong and supportive team of experts, who are fun, welcoming and creative. Applications from ECTs and more experienced teachers are warmly welcomed. We will also consider applications for both full or part time working (please make sure you clearly indicate your preference on your application).
The successful candidate will be confident in teaching English across a range of ages and abilities. Being able to teach either English Language or English Literature at A-Level would be advantageous but is not essential. In return for your passion, commitment and drive, we offer a highly supportive working environment, students who are keen to learn, and outstanding continued professional development opportunities, including a first-class CPD programme for all levels of experience, including ECTs. We are a caring school and have taken a range of steps in recent years to support our teachers’ wellbeing and reduce their workload. Our English department benefits from modern accommodation, and all English teachers have their own classrooms.
King’s Academy Easthampstead Park is a vibrant school which prides itself on holding traditional values. We seek to equip all students with the confidence, knowledge, skills and values that will enable them to thrive in the modern world. Through our academic and personal development curricula, we aim to nurture and develop the whole child so that each unique individual grows constantly in confidence, and develops the knowledge, skills and self-esteem to achieve their true potential. All children at our school access a broad, challenging and engaging curriculum, encouraging learning through well established, research-based quality first teaching.
This is a very exciting time to join us. In November 2022, we joined King’s Group Academies (KGA). This has created excellent opportunities for teachers to share ideas and approaches across schools, for the benefit of our students.
“Pupils enjoy coming to their happy and inclusive school. There is a strong ethos of mutual respect, courtesy and care for others.”
“Pupils behave well in lessons and around school. They value the educational opportunities that they receive and want to succeed. Knowing their teachers have high expectations and want the very best for them encourages pupils to take pride in their work. Pupils confidently ask for help when they need it.”
We aspire to be rated ‘Outstanding’, driven by a core belief that all of our students deserve nothing but the best possible teaching and support in order to be happy, healthy and successful. We aim to deliver the best quality teaching and learning in a school where staff and students have respect for, and pride in themselves, their school and their community.
If you feel you have the necessary skills, mindset and determination to join us on our journey towards ‘outstanding,’ we would very much like to hear from you. Visits to the school prior to application are warmly welcomed.

This is a very exciting time to join us. In November 2022, we joined King’s Group Academies (KGA), following an associate membership lasting nearly two years. We are really excited by the opportunities this is creating for sharing ideas and approaches across schools. At our last OFSTED inspection (November 2021), we were rated as ‘Good’ in all areas and the inspection team noted that:
“Pupils enjoy coming to their happy and inclusive school. There is a strong ethos of mutual respect, courtesy and care for others.”
“Pupils behave well in lessons and around school. They value the educational opportunities that they receive and want to succeed.
