What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a part-time or full-time Teacher of English to work at Beacon Hill School. Ideally, you will join our team in September 2026. This is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic teacher to continue and develop the excellent work that has already been done to improve literacy across our schools.

This role is primarily based at Beacon Hill Community School but the successful candidate may be required undertake some teaching at our partner school, Solway Community School in Silloth.

Our small and friendly schools provide excellent opportunities to be involved in school-wide activities as well as the challenge of teaching across the age and ability range. The right candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated and inspirational in the classroom. They will work supportively with our students to ensure all learners achieve the best for their ability.
