Teacher of English job summary
Cansfield High School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of English to join our dynamic team from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a supportive, creative, and forward-thinking English department.
The post is open to both experienced teachers and ECTs. We are looking for a committed and passionate English specialist who will contribute fully to the continued development of the curriculum at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
A creative approach to teaching, alongside the ability to motivate and enthuse young people, is highly valued. The successful candidate will demonstrate a clear philosophy for English teaching and learning, strong communication skills, and practical strategies that support students of all abilities to achieve their full potential. They should also be able to communicate a genuine interest in engaging young people in literature, language, and the wider world of English.
