What skills and experience we're looking for

Plan and teach lessons and sequences of lessons to the class(es) you are assigned to teach within the context of the school’s plans, curriculum and schemes of work in order to achieve target levels of student attainment, progress and outcomes.

Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned students.

Set and mark work completed by students, in accordance with the school’s teaching, learning and assessment policy.

Participate in arrangements for preparing students for external examinations

Claydon High School is a popular, oversubscribed and friendly comprehensive school on the outskirts of Ipswich; we are situated close to the A14 with easy transport links across Suffolk and into Essex.

We are a small school with 776 students on roll which means that there is a close working relationship with all the staff and students in the school.
