Teacher of English job summary

Cobham Free School wish to appoint a well-qualified, dynamic individual as a Teacher of English. The position is part time (from 2 days a week) commencing in the Autumn Term 2026, however full time would also be considered.

The English Department consists of a supportive team of eight teachers (including some Drama). Our GCSE English results for 2025 were exceptional - 36% grades 9-7, 88% 9-5, 96% 9-4. We are equally as proud of our progress results (+0.87). Drama is strong at CFS and extracurricular drama activities and participation in shows are extremely popular among our pupils.

ECTs are most welcome to apply, we are experienced in offering dedicated support in conjunction with a successful local partnership. Experienced teachers can grow their career in a supportive and innovative environment.
