What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governors are seeking to appoint a dynamic, creative, and suitably qualified Teacher of English to join our highly successful school. This is an exciting opportunity to teach across KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5, within a supportive, thriving, and forward-thinking department. There may also be the opportunity to teach Media Studies, so we particularly welcome applicants with a specialism or strong interest in media.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about English and education, with a genuine desire to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential. As an innovative classroom practitioner, you will create a stimulating, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where all pupils can flourish.

You will join a dedicated and collaborative English team, committed to continually developing their expertise and fostering a positive, supportive approach to teaching. Our curriculum celebrates diversity and is designed to ensure that students from all backgrounds can engage, succeed, and develop a love of literature, language, and media.

Our ideal candidate will bring a fresh, forward-thinking perspective and the ability to adapt their teaching to meet the varied needs of our students. If you are an enthusiastic and creative educator with a passion for English, media, and inspiring young minds, we would love to hear from you.

The closing date is a guide only. We intend to review applications as they are received and call those shortlisted for immediate interview. An early application is advised, as once we have appointed, we will close the recruitmentprocess.
