What skills and experience we're looking for
Key Responsibilities:
- To plan, resource and deliver well-structured lessons and sequences of lessons to the highest of standard, following the school's curriculum and schemes of work.
- Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned students
- Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of students to ensure rapid progress
- Promote excellent progress and outcomes for all students by contributing to the enrichment and extra-curricular activities of the department
- Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school's policies and practises
- Make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Excellent subject knowledge and expertise in English Language and English Literature
- Experience of teaching English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Strong understanding of the latest teaching and learning strategies to engage and motivate students
- Commitment to inclusive practice and meeting the needs of all students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
