About the Role

As a teacher at our school, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the minds of our students. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning, ensuring every student reaches their full potential. This position goes beyond the classroom, offering you the chance to contribute to our school's wider development and uphold our strong values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspiring Teaching: Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons that align with our curriculum and schemes of work. You'll assess, monitor, and report on student progress, adapting your teaching to meet individual needs and challenging all pupils to achieve excellent outcomes.
  • Curriculum & Subject Expertise: Demonstrate strong subject and curriculum knowledge, actively contributing to faculty improvement planning and evaluating the effectiveness of your subject area.
  • Whole-School Contribution: Play an active part in the development and implementation of school policies, practices, and procedures, supporting our vision and values. You'll contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the school, collaborating with colleagues on curriculum and pupil development.
  • Pastoral Care: Take on the rewarding responsibility of a form tutor, providing pastoral care and guidance to your assigned students. This includes overseeing their PSHE education, personal development, digital literacy, and monitoring attendance, all with a focus on positive student outcomes.
  • Student Wellbeing & Discipline: Promote the safety and wellbeing of all pupils, maintaining good order and effective discipline to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Professional Growth: Engage in our appraisal procedures, continuously developing your own teaching practice through further training and development. You'll also have opportunities to contribute to the professional development of others.
  • Effective Communication: Build strong, professional relationships and communicate effectively with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Safeguarding: Uphold the highest standards of ethics and behaviour, understanding and acting within statutory safeguarding guidance to promote the best interests and safety of all pupils.
