Pontefract Academies Trust is a cross phase Multi Academy Trust comprising of eight schools, six primaries and two 11 – 16 secondary schools. The Trust is a medium sized family of schools all located within a tight geographic hub within Pontefract. Pupils are drawn from the local community that includes a mix of different catchment areas.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and committed Teacher of English at The King’s School. This candidate will secure outstanding outcomes for pupils through outstanding provision. They will demonstrate high quality teaching to ensure pupils can make accelerated progress, and use effective resources, upholding the highest standards of learning and achievement for all pupils. They will also liaise effectively with colleagues to ensure consistency of approach in teaching and learning across the whole school, and wider Trust.

This is a 1FTE fixed term, maternity cover contract, with an end date of 31st December 2022.

The King’s School is an 11-16 school with a long history being founded in 1139 making it one of the four oldest schools in Yorkshire. The school converted to academy status in 2013 and has planned admission number of 210 pupils in each year group.
