Teacher of English Job Type: Permanent, Full time Salary/Grade: MPS/UPS Application Deadline: Midnight on Monday 31st January 2022 Job Start Date: Easter (01/05/2022) or September (01/09/2022) We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if a suitable candidate is found. We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic colleague to join our ambitious and highly skilled English departments. You will have the opportunity to work across campus at both Stoke Damerel Community College and Scott Medical and Healthcare College. You will need to have the knowledge, skills and creativity to be an outstanding teacher, and the ability to teach your specialism to GCSE and A level. If you have a focus on raising student attainment and a passion for English, and are looking to work in an environment that values the learning of students, we would welcome an application from you. Main duties and responsibilities ● Working across the campus English departments to contribute to raising student achievement and the continued development of the departments ● Teach the English curriculum across the ability range to years 7-13 ● Teaching the English GCSE course at key stage 4 ● Contribute to enrichment and intervention supports within the English departments ● Applications from NQTs and experienced staff will be equally valued Greenshaw Learning Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
