Teacher of English job summary
To manage student learning through effective teaching in accordance with Faculty's schemes of work and policies, using a variety of methods and approaches to match curricular objectives to individual student needs.
To assess students work, recording and reporting as required, following statutory and school procedures and present helpful and accurate reports to parents, attending parental consultation meetings
To use positive behaviour management in environment of mutual respect which allows students to feel safe and promotes self-esteem.
To maintain up to date knowledge of National Curriculum programmes of study
To cover for absence colleagues in line with national workload agreement
