Teacher of English / Humanities (KS3) job summary
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students who benefit from a more personalised, supportive, and structured approach to learning, helping them to build confidence, resilience, and academic success as they transition through Key Stage 3.
You will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, adaptive lessons in English and/or Humanities to KS3 students within the Thrive to Accelerate group
- Support students with diverse learning needs to close gaps in knowledge and develop core literacy and thinking skills
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that promotes progress, independence, and self-belief
- Use targeted interventions and assessment strategies to accelerate student outcomes
- Work closely with pastoral teams, SEN staff, and families to provide holistic support
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with strong subject knowledge in English and/or Humanities
- Has experience (or a strong interest) in working with students who require additional support to access the curriculum
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and the ability to build positive relationships
- Is reflective, resilient, and committed to inclusive education
- Shares our high expectations and belief that every student can succeed
