What skills and experience we're looking for

A Teacher of English on a temporary contract for Terms 5 and 6 – minimum of 0.6FTE to full time

Required for April 2025, a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of English on a temporary contract for Terms 5 and 6 at this successful 11-18 girls’ grammar school in Reading. English is taught throughout the school to students who are highly motivated, creative, and engaged. There is a possibility of some further teaching in September 2025.

English is a popular and highly valued subject at Kendrick School. A significant number of students take English Literature A Level, and some continue to study the subject at prestigious universities. The department’s extra-curricular opportunities, including a range of clubs and events, are extremely popular, and successful in their outcomes. The English department is friendly and collegiate.
