Teacher of English job summary
Having appointed a Director of English as well as experienced teachers in the first five years of opening, King’s Academy Binfield (KAB) is now looking to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic and innovative teacher of English to play an intrinsic role in our growing team in our all-through academy in Bracknell Forest.
Applicants will be joining a faculty that:

KAB opened in a superb building in September 2018 with 120 Year 7 students. Now KAB consists of Nursery - Year 6 in the primary phase and Year 7 - Year 13 in the secondary phase. In September 2019, KAO, a brand new 1 FE primary school a mile away opened. After years of growth, KAO has the full range of primary age classes from Year R - Year 6. Both academies are run cohesively sharing the same leadership, staff, values, curriculum, opportunities and expectations of excellence.
There will also be increasing opportunities for leadership roles within the department as well as potential whole school roles available. The successful applicant will teach across the secondary phase and sixth form experience is desirable.
Applicants should be excellent teachers and have the ability to motivate, inspire and lead students to excel. The successful candidate will be a team player and will get stuck in and involve themselves in the wider aspects of academy life.

Our all-through school opened in a superb new building in September 2018 and we have grown year on year, with our first Year 11 students currently in the final year of their GCSE study. In addition to the secondary phase, we also have two primary phases set across two sites, King’s Academy Binfield (KAB) and King’s Academy Oakwood (KAO). In September 2023, we will have students from year N to year 6 in primary and year 7 through to year 12. Our 6th Form will be opening in September 2023.
