Teacher of English, Mat Cover job summary

The Dean Trust is seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of English to cover Maternity Leave to join our dedicated team at Abraham Moss Community School, Crescent Road, Crumpsall, Manchester, M8 5UF.

The core purpose of the role will be to Teach English at KS3 and English Language/Literature at KS4 under the direction of the Head of Department and Deputy Headteacher.

Key responsibilities:

• Teach English at KS3 and English Language/Literature at KS4 under the direction of the Subject Leader.
• Work closely with the English team in all professional matters to develop ambitious schemes of work that are engaging and challenging; implement effective teaching strategies to ensure all pupils succeed within the curriculum; monitor and enhance the quality of teaching and learning; and set clear targets to drive improvement, development, and enrichment.
• Take responsibility for organisational and administrative tasks related to your work and carry out tasks efficiently and within the deadlines set.
