Our Opportunity
We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, talented, and inspiring classroom practitioner to teach both English and RE across all ability groups from KS3 to KS5.
Here at the Scarborough UTC, we believe that the teaching of Religious Education is an exciting and fundamental subject to give our students deep knowledge of Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, not excluding humanism and atheism.
The successful candidate will be able to plan and teach engaging English lessons as part of our STEM-rich curriculum. Students have discrete English lessons from KS3 to KS5 and the successful candidate must be able to teach across the ability range. The team is currently made up of 2 staff, these appointments would form a cohesive department of 3.
Role & Responsibility:

As a University Technical College we offer a high quality academic and technical education for our students through the specialisms of engineering, health and cyber security. A UTC by nature delivers 60% of the week in specialism related subjects and these are enhanced with core subjects and with an EBACC option and RE, PSCHE and PE. Our unique approach also provides students with an excellent range of enrichment opportunities including Combined Cadet Force (CCF Navy), strong links to our industrial partners, project-based learning and our flagship Career Development Programme for our Sixth Form students.
