Qualifications:
A degree and a DfE-recognised teaching qualification appropriate to the teaching of Maths.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
1. The ability to translate “The Vision” of the School into a reality for all our pupils
2.An awareness of equal opportunities issues and their implications for the teaching of Maths in a girls’ school
3.Ability to teach across the age and ability range
4.Knowledge of the National Curriculum implications for Maths
5.Awareness of current approaches and teaching strategies in Maths
6.Ability to monitor and assess the progress of pupils and provide feedback to parents
7.ICT literate & with a clear understanding of how ICT can be used to support, extend & enrich learning
8.Ability to communicate with staff and work as a member of a team
9.Ability to engender enthusiasm for Maths, and any other subject offered, and to motivate pupils by demanding high standards of work and behaviour
10. Ability to assist in the smooth running of the Department by carrying out reasonable tasks
11. Ability to play a part in the pastoral curriculum of the school and to carry out the duties of a form tutor

13. Commitment to the development of teaching strategies and learning styles, which will promote the achievement
